By Kurtis J. Wiebe and Roc Upchurch.

Available in hardcover (ISBN: 978-1607069454) from Image Comics. Also available on Comixology and as single issues Rat Queens #1-5.

Who are the Rat Queens? A pack of booze-guzzling, death-dealing battle maidens-for-hire, and they’re in the business of killing all god’s creatures for profit. It’s also a darkly comedic sass-and-sorcery series starring Hannah the Rockabilly Elven Mage, Violet the Hipster Dwarven Fighter, Dee the Atheist Human Cleric and Betty the Hippy Smidgen Thief. This modern spin on an old school genre is a violent monster-killing epic that is like Buffy meets Tank Girl in a Lord of the Rings world on crack!

Reader Pull: DC: THE NEW FRONTIER

By Darwyn Cooke.

Available as a hardcover deluxe edition (ISBN: 978-1401248888 or as two paperbacks (ISBN: 978-1401203504, 978-1401204617) from DC Comics. Also available through Amazon Kindle and Comixology and in single issues as DC: The New Frontier #1-6.

Reader Pull suggested by Mark Burdett.

In the 1950s, Cold War paranoia has resulted in the mystery men of the Golden Age being outlaws. Stalwarts such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman continued to fight for truth and justice, but as the world hurtles toward an uncertain future, it would take a new breed of hero to define the American Way. DC: THE NEW FRONTIER takes readers on an epic journey from the end of the Golden Age of heroes to the beginnings of the legendary Justice League of America.
